Owatrol DILUNETT gel for removing old coatings

Owatrol DILUNETT Gel for Removing Old Coatings is a powerful, solvent-free stripping gel designed to remove old paint and varnish coatings based on phthalic and alkyd formulations. Its non-flammable, paraffin-free formula does not evaporate, and the gel consistency prevents drying and running, making it ideal for both flat and vertical surfaces. DILUNETT can remove up to eight layers of old coatings in one application.

Properties

• Solvent-free and VOC-free
• Non-flammable and free from toxic fumes
• Removes up to 8 old coatings
• Suitable for wood (except oak, chestnut, walnut, cedar)
• Safe on metal, cement, stone, and PVC
• Not suitable for aluminium, two-component paints or sintered paints
• Gel formula prevents drying and running on vertical surfaces
• Can be reactivated with water during use
• Does not damage the surface when used correctly
• Effective working time: 5 minutes to 12 hours
• Covers approx. 4 m² per litre (depending on layers and substrate)

How to Use

• Apply a thick, even layer over the surface.
• Allow to work for 5 minutes to 12 hours, depending on coating thickness.
• Do not exceed recommended time to avoid wood greying.
• Rinse thoroughly with water, using a cloth or pressure washer (max. 60 bar). Warm water improves rinsing.
• Always neutralise the surface with NET-TROL, especially on rough or porous substrates.
• On pavements, working time is 10–45 minutes.

Usage Conditions & Tools

• Application temperature: 5°C to 35°C
• Recommended tools: synthetic-bristle brush, putty knife, pressure washer
• Clean tools with water
• Do not store in metal containers
