Owatrol Compo Care Protection of composite boards

Owatrol Compo Care – Protection and Colour Restoration for Composite Boards is a water-based protective treatment designed to refresh, enhance and maintain composite decking and cladding. It restores faded colour, protects against moisture, and prevents deep penetration of oily stains, keeping contaminants on the surface for easier cleaning. Suitable for all types of composite boards, COMPO-CARE is easy to apply, quick drying, and ideal for both smooth and grooved finishes.

Available in two colours: grey and brown.

Surface Preparation

• Clean surfaces thoroughly; ensure they are dry and free from oil, grease, mould and fungal growth
• For mould/mildew: wash with a 1:1 mixture of water and household bleach, scrub well, leave 10–15 minutes, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry to below 18% moisture
• Do not dilute – product is ready to use
• Apply in even sections for uniform results
• Protect adjacent areas and water nearby vegetation generously
• Apply on vertical surfaces from bottom to top
• Avoid allowing the product to dry out during application
• Choose stable, dry weather – avoid rain, fog and full sun

How to Apply

• Apply an even coat along the full length of each section
• Avoid overlapping to prevent uneven finish

Drying Time

• Touch dry: approx. 1 hour
• Fully dry: 12–24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity
• High-traffic areas (e.g. terraces, piers, walkways) should not be used for 24 hours

Coverage

• Approx. 15 m²/l depending on surface type and condition

Application Conditions & Tools

• Apply between +5°C and +35°C
• Do not apply on hot or sun-heated surfaces
• Use a synthetic brush or roller
• Clean tools with soapy water
