100mm Rocksilk RS45 Universal Slabs are rock mineral wool slabs, available in a range of densities and designed for use in multiple thermal and acoustic applications where density is critical. The standard product is supplied unfaced, but slabs can also be manufactured with a factory applied foil or tissue facing and are also available with a water repellent additive. These slabs are manufactured using Knauf Insulations unique bio-based binder, ECOSE Technology.
APPLICATION
Rocksilk RS45 Universal Slabs are used for a wide range of thermal and acoustic insulation applications in buildings, building services and industry. This product can be used for insulating:
- internal partitions
- between timber and metal studs
- rafters and floor joists
CHARACTERISTICS
- Odourless, non-hygroscopic, rot proof, do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria
- Easy to handle and install, being lightweight and easy to cut to size
- Vapour resistance of 7.00 MN.s/g.m
- Classified as non combustible to BS 476: Part 4: 1970 (1984) and Euroclass A1
- Free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion potential (ODP),
- Non-wicking
