JURGA Folmix - Liquid waterproofing film for outdoor and indoor use

FOLMIX is a ready-to-use, single-component liquid waterproofing membrane designed for use under ceramic tiles bonded with adhesives. It is ideal for areas exposed to moisture or occasional water exposure. Its thixotropic properties create a tight, flexible, and waterproof layer that effectively bridges common cracks on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. Once dry, it is frost-resistant. Furthermore, FOLMIX liquid membrane is environmentally friendly and safe to use, containing no solvents.

Liquid foil – properties and applications

FOLMIX liquid foil is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, in areas prone to moisture, such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, basements, and balconies. It can be used on a variety of building surfaces, including gypsum and cement-lime plasters, cement and anhydrite screeds, under underfloor heating, concrete, hollow brick, and brick.

How to use liquid foil?

Before use, the liquid membrane should be thoroughly mixed. Do not dilute it. The surface to which you wish to apply the product should be dry, clean, solid, stable, and even. For highly absorbent substrates, it is recommended to prime them with JURGA PRIMER PLUS or PRIMER SILICATE . For corners and plumbing penetrations, use special corner pieces, sleeves, and sealing tape from the JURGA TAPEMIX line . Apply the liquid membrane with a brush, applying at least two layers. Wait for the mixture to dry before applying the next layer. The final insulation thickness should be at least 1 mm. Work at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. Protect the freshly applied insulation from external conditions and moisture until it has fully cured. Be sure to protect the final layer of insulation with ceramic tiles.
